Avoided disruptions to supply chain and saved millions in penalties by conducting regular in-depth credit analysis of existing customers and suppliers. Managed credit and collection activities for 200+ active credit customer accounts and provided credit and financial decisions for new customers across various business units. Expanded the standard financial statement analysis process by going beyond the stated numbers and analyzing the underlying data to more accurately determine a company’s financial position. Decreased risk exposure by supporting the legal department in negotiations with customers and suppliers on complex financial issues. Instrumental in defending company’s financial position by reviewing and recommending extended credit and payment terms on contractual agreements with suppliers. Processed various Letters of Credit to facilitate foreign transactions and guarantee contracts. Analyzed and approved transfer of existing supplier’s major assets or stock sales to new owners. Coached and mentored summer interns on how to analyze credit and financial statements.
