Hired to pioneer and operate a newly formed credit department and oversee credit management to support supply chain and sales for a Boeing spin-off (earned $8B in revenue in FY19). Composed the credit policy and principles to sell Boeing parts, valued at 10k to $5M, to 100’s of publicly traded and privately held companies. Solely responsible for calculating and monitoring the annual financial positioning of 400 suppliers. Reviewed debt obligations and determined approval for contracts greater than $250K+. Evaluated and approved new supplier contracts by assessing risk ratings and verifying capital to calculate margins and financial viability. Avoided disruptions to supply chain and saved millions in penalties by conducting regular in-depth credit analysis of existing customers and suppliers. Managed credit and collection activities for 200+ active credit customer accounts and provided credit and financial decisions for new customers across various business units. Expanded the standard financial statement analysis process by going beyond the stated numbers and analyzing the underlying data to more accurately determine a company’s financial position. Decreased risk exposure by supporting the legal department in negotiations with customers and suppliers on complex financial issues. Instrumental in defending company’s financial position by reviewing and recommending extended credit and payment terms on contractual agreements with suppliers. Processed various Letters of Credit to facilitate foreign transactions and guarantee contracts. Analyzed and approved transfer of existing supplier’s major assets or stock sales to new owners. Coached and mentored summer interns on how to analyze credit and financial statements.
