Daily Duties at Nts Communications Inc.:

Prepared and filed the Texas Sales and Use tax return, Federal Excise Tax, Gross Receipts report, 911 and 911 Equalization reports and NM, LA, KS, and OK state tax returns. In charge of maintaining the permanent records for all tax returns for audits and records. Maintained the legal agreements and contact lists for all the 911 districts that we had customers Calculated the bad debts and deducted those from my reports. Reconciliation of the general ledger accounts for these tax accounts and worked up the general ledger entries and posted them to the accounting software. Assisted with reconciliation of other general ledger accounts so that the general ledger would be ready for month close. Assisted with Texas Sales Tax and Franchise tax audits, company annual audits and annual 401k audits. Manager over three accounting employees in accounts receivable, payroll, accounting, general ledger and tax reporting Back up for entering and posting accounts receivables payments from customers which was put in a binder and was called the cash posting book. I constructed the general ledger entries for all the postings made in the cash posting book for payments made by credit cards, cash, checks, cash received but not posted to accounts and other general ledger entries that affected the A/R balance. Wrote up the annual reviews for each of my employees that I managed and conducted the review with the employee. Interviewed candidates for employment in the accounting department as needed. Processed payroll by checking timesheets, uploading hours, completing the payroll process, posting payroll, and posting general ledger entries for each payroll. Employees came to me for any payroll questions and executives requested reporting which I ran in the payroll system and sent to them per their request. Responsible for the preparation of annual and quarterly such as the IRS 940, 941, federal and state unemployment reports, multiple worksite reports, and other governmental reporting and got them ready for ACH or mailing. Responsible for calculating and printing the check requisitions for ACH and checks to be used to cover taxes, funding payroll, 401k, cafeteria plan. Monthly I reconciled several insurance accounts that the employees were in (such as AFLAC, Leaders Life, etc) and requested the check and took care of the funds due to these agencies. Responsible for calculating the taxes due for each payroll and submitting them timely by EFTPS (website used to upload ACH payments for FICA, FMHI and withholding to the IRS). Calculated and requested ACH funds for state withholding tax for OK, LA, and MS and paid those online. Opened mail containing customer payments, created batches of payments to post to customer accounts. Was a back up for posting customer payments. assisted with due diligence records each time the company was acquired.
