Daily Duties at Public Works Department Riviera Beach:
Responsible for supervising daily operations of the Public Works Engineering Division. Duties include preparing division budgets, coordinating the design and construction phases of various engineering projects, interacting with regulatory agencies in regards to permits and agreements, conducts Public Works plan reviews for the building department, directing and supervising engineering staff, and attends Department Head and City Council meetings in the absence of the Public Works Director. Provides complex technical and administrative assistance to the Public Works Director and City Manager. Tasks also include cost estimates, contract administration for design consultants and contractors, and bid preparation/review. Mentors, advises, and coaches engineering staff. Manages various project teams consisting of stake holders, engineering consultants, and contractors on Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) and Capital Improvement projects. Meets with the public and conveys information relative to various departments and City engineering activities.
