Daily Duties at Silgan Containers:
• Design & Implement HR Business Models company-wide to enhance the organization relating to Staffing & Recruiting, Performance Management, Employee Succession Planning and Organization Development using cutting edge technologies. • Design and oversee company-wide hiring processes to ensure implementation of company goals and standards are met. • Business Partner and support of senior leadership and 30 De-centralized domestic Plants as it relates to aspects of Human Resource functionality and process (union and non-union environments). • Interact and develop administrative HR representatives/Regional HR Managers to address HR issues; Employee Relations, Training and Development, Communications, P&L budgeting, EEO compliance, file maintenance, & Mediation. • Merger & Acquisition Coordination: Coordinate with Regional Executive Team Members site visits, business strategies, and continuous improvement processes. • Labor Relations -Establish strong relationships with Union Representatives, Labor Teams (RHRM, Dir of Labor, Union Reps, etc.) for positive negotiations and agreeable outcomes. (United Steelworkers Local 6129, Sheet Metal Workers International Association. • Supervise internal Diversity and Government Compliance awareness. Recommend enhancements or modifications if needed. • Prepare and support annual HR business plan. Make sure all P&L budgets are maintained and defined in my area of responsibility. • Lead all leadership development initiatives to include 360 reviews/succession planning/leadership training/PEOPLE Development.
