Daily Duties at Nordic Gear:
Implemented and led sales strategies that drove a rapidly growing, branded, and private label supplier of fleece products and accessories in ski, sporting goods, and outdoor industry. Directed development of hunting accessories, fleece apparel/accessories, loungewear, and direct sales to key national retail partners. Traveled frequently to work with manufacturing teams in Millersburg, PA and home office staff in Rye, NY. Collaborated with product development team and production team to roll out new products and develop key retail programs. Maintained accountability for P&L projections for sales and key account inventory levels. Partnered with company owner and marketing team to promote and champion brand vision. Achieved 400% increase in 4 years by executing strategic sales plan to expand branded, private label sales. ▪ Successfully introduced a new line of Nordic Gear branded accessories and lounge wear to JC Penny, Academy Sports, Bass Pro Shops, Cabela’s, Gander Mountain, Sportmart, and Gart’s Sports. ▪ Collaborated with manufacturing and distribution teams to improve strategic shipping/planning and streamline inventory planning and production. ▪ Planned and executed development of extensive line of hunting and outdoor fleece accessories and headwear, fleece and Berber apparel, and women’s loungewear.
