Daily Duties at Plantgistix:

• Operations Manager for two facilities; overseeing multiple managers and supervisors with several direct reports. Successfully provided the organizational leadership for a $9 million per year contract, ISO 9001 certified packaging manufacturing operation, using best practices and performance optimization, targeted gross margins and operating profits. • Drove on-time delivery from 90% to 100% OTD for over 6 years to date through continuous cycle counts, and inventory management using RF bar coding system. • Responsible for coordinating with functional departments to complete all necessary administrative duties; payroll, reporting, creation and organization of goals, new hire processing, talent management, and implementation of company initiatives that are implemented from the corporate level, while continuously meeting the high standards on quality and productivity. • Facilitated sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, training supervisors on tasks and improvements, counseling, and disciplining subordinates while also facilitating growth and development opportunities. • Reduced complaints by 40% by coordinating with Quality Control Department for customer product specification, to lead the team through critical problem solving and root cause analysis, in order to eventually eliminate complaints with domestic/export customers. • Ensured the regulatory compliance of safety, quality, maintenance, shipping/receiving, and production standards of a 1 million square foot packaging facility producing over 2 billion pounds of resin annually. • Co-managed the design, construction, and start-up of a new multi-million-dollar 330,000 sq. ft. flexible packaging production/warehousing facility. • Directly lead 5 managers that supervised 3 departments with a total of 60+ hourly associates for maintenance, production, and shipping/receiving to coordinate activities through planning with department managers to ensure Company objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner. • Implemented employee training and performance evaluation programs to assess growth opportunities and ensure team satisfaction and employee retention. • Identified and targeted areas in need of improvement through close monitoring and tracking of daily operations.
