Scientific Research, Team leader The outcome of my scientific work (last stages of stellar evolution and the motions of stars in spiral Galaxies) has been published in over a hundred papers in international journals. Several large-scale research projects were initiated and some of these are still continuing. One of my main achievements, as manager of international scientific teams, was the establishment of a research effort covering six institutions. Observations at major instruments (including the largest and most complex instruments on and above earth) were executed, including at the Very Large Array (VLA), and the Hubble Space Telescope.
