Daily Duties at City Of Ellsworth:

Coordinate with 7 local organizations to pull together events for 150 Cowtown Celebration for Ellsworth County, Kansas. Specifically, my role consisted of fundraising and seeking large donors/sponsors in, around and across the region. Calls, emails, texts, mailings and too many face to face meetings to count with business owners and county/city officials and commissioners led to raising over $60,000 towards our goal of $70,000. Wrote a successful grant for our advertising budget that awarded $2000 for that purpose. Marketing meetings were conducted with multiple radio, TV and print medias. As the spokeswoman for the 150 Celebration, I wrote and recorded numerous radio commercials that aired across Kansas, also conducted multiple radio interviews as well as two TV station interviews all to promote and drive excitement to attend the Celebration. Additional duties consisted of managing contracts for special entertainment, for example working directly with Cowboy Kenny and The Steel Rodeo, Chain Ranch and the Longhorn cattle for providing cattle for cattle drive, Salty Roan Productions for video production of the event and developing a digital keepsake of the Celebration. Each required numerous negotiations to meet the project budget, as well as in-kind trades for services to equate sufficient worthwhileness for the entertainer, and production company. Arranged, planned and reported the minutes of every weekly meeting, served as a mediator to resolve disagreements amongst committee members, stood firm but fair in the wake of such issues.

What they like about City Of Ellsworth:

The social vibrance of a hiring firm is very important to you. Your ability to make and maintain friendships there is a critical part of your decision. You would likely be dissatisfied with a workplace that is quiet, cold, or otherwise not particularly social. When you investigate a new hiring company, ask recruiters, managers, and potential co-workers about the social life and opportunities there. This is especially important when you are relocating; moving dramatically alters your social sphere both inside and outside the workplace.
