Daily Duties at Behr Process Corporation :

Manage a PMO department comprised of 5 project managers and 1 project coordinator which have the responsibility of implementing projects across multiple business units and functional teams in a global matrix environment. Partner with senior business leaders to develop project scope, objectives, requirements and budgets. Work with executive leaders to align projects with the company’s strategies and revenue goals. Continuously earn recognition for exceptional performance and flawless completion of complex, large scale multifaceted projects. ♣ Conduct executive priority project steering committee meetings to provide updates and obtain decisions. ♣ Manage the Project Management Office (PMO) with a project funnel of over 140 projects in various stages of the project life cycle with budgets ranging from $200K to $10M. ♣ Manage and develop the 6 PMO full-time staff through coaching, mentoring, and performance. ♣ Work with auditors to review projects that need to meet SOX compliance. ♣ Maintain metrics on the project funnel and their relationship to resource capacity and budgets. ♣ Manage offshore personnel, stakeholder and vendor relationships on a global scale. ♣ Oversee the negotiation of changes in project scope and costs as necessary ♣ Work with the VP of IT to establish and monitor the department budget to ensure cost controls are maintained. ♣ Oversee the Project Governance Program. Develop and communicate PMO methodology and processes to all individuals in the IT department acting in a PM role.
