Daily Duties at Net Silicon A Digi International Company:
Support sales and marketing to resolve customer ASIC problems/issues in the NS7520 and Net+50/20 (Net+ARM) processors. The Net+50 and the NS7520 processors have built in 32 bits ARM7TDMI CPU IP, DMA 10/15 channels DMA controller, programmable timers, memory controller interfaces for EEPROM, SDRAM, and network interfaces supporting Ethernet MAC with MII interface, UART, HDLC and SPI. Wrote self-checking test benches, ran NCSIM Verilog RTL/gate level simulations to determine root cause analysis (RCS) on the Net+ARM processor ASICs and provide alternative solution(s) to sales/marketing and customers. Perform Prime Time (PT) static timing analysis (STA) to characterize max operating frequency under worst-case temperature and voltage, and interface with Toshiba for layout parasitic. Characterize NS7520 input/output interfaces to generate timing diagrams to show Max/Min output delays, Min setup/hold times for the customer under worst operating conditions (-55 degC to 125 degC junction temp and 1.40v to 1.60v).
