Designed FPGA for in the Lab-in-a-tube (Liat) Analyzer used for biological sample testing for clinical diagnostics, life-science research, industrial testing, and bio-defense. ♣ Designed and programmed 2 Xilinx Spartan3 FPGAs to control 2-phase, 20-step linear motor speed and acceleration, temperature, fault detections, and variable voltage reference control using DAC. ♣ Validated Xilinx using PHytec LPC2294 MSCU – FreeRTOS/winARM-GCC for C code. ♣ Designed the control system for the Liat to meet FDA requirements.
