Daily Duties at Mks Instruments:

Apply cutting-edge knowledge to engineer, implement, and maintain software and hardware design of embedded control platforms. ♣ Developed automated system/unit tests and code coverage tests using Vector Software tools (VectorCAST/Cover, VectorCAST/C++) for Astron Remote Plasma Sources (RPS) products that used embedded C2000 Delfino DSP Microcontroller, XDSv200 Emulator. ♣ Designed, implemented and tested C Code and firmware on C2000 Delfino (F28553) for Revolution and Next-Generation RPS Power Generator Astrons, with output power ranging from 6KW to 23 KW and frequency from 370KHz to 500KHz. ♣ Created, executed and tested C code and firmware on the ColdFire MCF52259 Microprcessor for EtherCAT Slave to access parameters from the Astron/Revolution RPS for EtherCAT master. ♣ Designed, developed and lab tested embedded C/VHDL control and protection algorithms (including pulse/continuous power control, and current limit control) in ADSP 21369 and Spartan 3 Xilnx FPGA. ♣ Wrote Calibration C code to measure VI probe impedance via RS232 interface for On-Chamber generator. ♣ Extensive experience in use of PADS tool set from Mentor Graphics for PCB design and layout. Used PADS for 8-layer PCB analysis on the Astron/Revolution projects. ♣ Mentored India-based team members with OACES in the implementation of unit and system-level test software for On-Chamber RF Power Generator (12MHz-13MHz). ♣ Specified a uniform Command Line Interface Protocol (CLIP) for OACES to develop and replace existing debug port interface for all Astron products. ♣ Designed, implemented and tested embedded legacy C code to consolidate 24+ software releases and code variations for Astron-I/HF+ and Astron-EX/2L. MKS Instruments, Inc. Continued: ♣ Wrote embedded C code and firmware for the DSP side of the TI TMS320VC5471 processor used for FM EX3, Revolution Non-FM version, removing RS232 and Ethernet UDP IO interface communication bottleneck. ♣ Wrote and tested embedded RTOS (from Blunk TargetOS) code on MCF5282 processor for ozone delivery system designed for the semiconductor industry and used for wafer cleaning, photo resist strip, contaminant removal, surface conditioning, and oxide growth.
