Daily Duties at Amerigroup :

Contracted for and managed the Queens network, which included individual providers, groups, ancillaries, and behavioral health facilities. Collaborated with local and corporate management to ensure proper implementation of all contracts. Reviewed contracts for accuracy and ensured that contracts were up to date. Increased provider satisfaction through timely resolution of claims issues. • Saved the company $500,000 by initiating a root cause analysis of behavioral health claims • Project manager for Access and Availability • Re-contracted existing providers • Ensured that providers were contracted with current Medicaid or Medicare rates • Lead contractor for all behavioral health contracts • Coordinated with other internal resources, responsible for managing the timely and accurate loading of contracts • Provided expertise and assistance with guidelines relative to provider billing and payment • Analyzed network for adequacy in addressing members’ medical needs • Identified and recruited key providers to close network gaps
