Daily Duties at Konover Construction :
While at Konover Construction several successful projects were managed including a 55,000 square foot new construction Best Buy in Waterford, Ct. and a renovation of a 400,000 SF BJ's Club. Assigned projects included a 70 million dollar contract for the additions and renovations to the Valley Regional High school and John Winthrop Jr. High School in Deep River, CT. Responsibilities include execute and control all functions of post award project and construction management through strong contract administration. Perform analysis of contract documents; involvement in all aspects of design, engineering, construction from development through construction / grand opening / close out; Work closely with owner and architect to ensure total client satisfaction with all aspects of the construction. Regular project cost and budget reviews for presentation to design team and construction staff including detailed preparation of long term and monthly cost and billing projections; Documentation, tracking and resolution of non-conforming construction issues; Provide and advise on solutions to unique design problems and difficult development problems including student movement and phasing. Oversee and coordinate all contract work to ensure that all contractual obligations are met and satisfied. Oversee construction team(s) and assign daily activities of construction staff. Meet weekly with construction team(s), subcontractors, architect and owner to review issues and concerns, construction changes and challenges, adherence to project quality control and all inspection and testing procedures. I regularly attended BOE meetings to present on current project status/ schedules/ budgets. Develop, implement and maintain construction schedules identifying the critical path including the expediting of scheduled critical materials and equipment. Consulted with owners, project executives, architect to ensure that all parties involved are updated and kept current as to all aspects of the project. Perform supplier and sub-contractor selection and “buy out of the sub-contractors, vendors and equipment.
