Daily Duties at Newmont Mining Corporation:

 Provide contract support and collaborate with key stakeholders to design contract plans and strategies.  Conduct spend analysis, perform market research, develop work copes, and develop RFPs.  Lead strategic sourcing, cost containment/savings, and planning activities.  Administer Social & Environmental Responsibility (“S&ER”) Legacy Sites (non-operational sites in “care and maintenance” phase) globally for supply chain operations.  Create contracting and procurement strategies, manage portfolios, and execute contracts/closeouts.  Negotiate contracts for Newman’s corporate office and work collaboratively with staff engineers, geologists, attorneys and other key stakeholders to determine contract plans, strategic sourcing, spend analysis, market research, scheduling, budgeting, preparation of scopes of work, tax strategy, risk management and risk review.  Selected as the Global Aviation Coordinator for North and South America and Africa exploration for all aviation-related needs from 2008-2012. Attended Aviation Safety Coordinator training through Flight Safety Foundation. Negotiated and issued contracts in the North (including Canada/Alaska and Mexico) and South American and African regions for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft.  Chosen as the primary contracts administrator for all reverse circulation and diamond core drilling contracts for North America (including Canada/Alaska and Mexico) and Africa from 2008-2013. Traveled to Newmont drilling sites to observe drilling techniques and safety procedures.
