Daily Duties at (Contractor) Doe National Training Center:

This position was a REDUCTION-IN-FORCE due to government budget cuts. Supplied leadership and direction to instructors, contractors and staff in the build/optimization of the DOE National Training Center’s Safety Program. Key Accomplishments: • Met challenge of turning around a failing program despite the lack of critical tools. Instrumental in delivering high quality programs to the Federal community by working closely with support contractors to produce exceptional products. Often worked 60-hour weeks to create top results. • Project Management: Developed/headed Safety Program and Safety Basis Program projects from inception to completion. Collaborated with Senior Management to develop Safety/Safety Basis Program annual budgets ($3.4MM). Prepared RFPs, chose instructors/vendors & reviewed their products/performance. Managed 15-25 courses concurrently at locations nationwide. Created schedules, task orders & course evaluations. Developed corrective actions & ensured revisions were made in products. • Program Management: Oversaw course schedules for Safety and Safety Basis Training and Certification for Instructor Certifications. Directed programs using MS Projects & other management tools to ensure on-time delivery of courses, to the DOE community at sites across the country & at the NTC. • Training Improvements: Designed/built programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in assessments. Made recommendations to both Senior Management & Federal staff on changing procedures, guidelines & instructions to improve the training curricula.
