Daily Duties at Verint Systems:

Verint the name of the company changed four times in seven years and my responsibilities changed numerous times. I was employee number 38 with annual revenues of $18 million. The Western United States from the Rockies West highest revenue at that point was approximate $250,000. That is lot of undeveloped business territory for one person. Three years later the Western United States was producing $30 million. We were a well oiled marketing and sales driven organization. My responsibility was the Western United States. We went from a virtually unknown IP video surveillance manufacturing to being the number one choice of video management software VMS products in the world. 2009 revenues were $850 million and roughly 5400 employees worldwide.

You give high priority to hiring firms with prestige. Market reputation and prestige of a firm may be determined through on-line research, and conversations with individuals working in your target industry. Note that firms "in the public eye" receive a great deal more critical publicity and attention than those operating with more anonymity. So as you assess your employment opportunities, be sure to seek out the positive aspects of the firm's reputation in addition to noting negative publicity the company may have received.
