Daily Duties at Abraxis Bio Science:

This is a critical strategic role designed to optimize the performance of key accounts by driving collaboration of sales, reimbursement, and other departments through a cross functional approach to account management. The RAM is responsible for leading the account team through effective management of the Field Resource Team account management process. The position requires strong leadership without direct reporting responsibilities or authority as well as strategic thinking, effective business planning, superior written and verbal communication skills, and business savvy to manage the complexities of major accounts in a rapidly changing market. The primary responsibilities are development and implementation of strategic initiatives designed to increase Abraxane demand and to build long-term executive level account relationships and partnerships while driving short and long term sales growth. The focus of the account initiatives is the evolving business of oncology needs of nationally and regionally critical accounts including: • Comprehensive Cancer Centers • Large Multi Site Clinics/Physician Offices • Specific Accounts designated to National Accounts (supportive role) Additional responsibilities include planning and implementing sales strategies and goals for regional accounts, maintaining and developing relationships with key business opinion leaders and executive-level decision makers in major accounts within assigned geographies, and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of Abraxis Oncology products. Design, implementation, and execution of contracting strategies will be included in the job function depending on current contracting strategies. Primary Activities: • Collaborate with Sales Managers to define RAM focus accounts based on sales, potential/competitive sales, account influence, business knowledge, ability to drive change in the account, and long-term strategic importance. • Implement and execute well designed strategies and tactics to ensure sales objectives are met and long-term relationships are developed with key accounts. • Develop and implement account specific initiatives designed to increase Abraxane demand and to build long-term executive level account relationships. • Monitor results of initiatives, course correct, and adjust tactics to meet needs and to improve results. • Fully manage budgets to maximize opportunities for development of strategic initiatives with key accounts. • Manage all regionally based account activity within budget guidelines with high awareness of ROI. • Effectively manage and leverage the clinic rebate program as a competitive advantage with customers. • Collaborate with Sales Managers on strategic planning and sales pull-thru activities within regional/national accounts. • Develop and implement tactics and strategies that assist in creating competitive immunity and long term commitment to Abraxane and Abraxis Oncology. • Create an environment of inclusion and execute a team concept in activities within the region crossing multi-functional areas. • Assume responsibility and accountability for actions and results.
