Daily Duties at Cisco Systems Inc:
Responsible for Hardware R&D of Cisco CMTS (Cable) Business Unit products. Increased the head count from 30 engineer team to a team of 60 engineers distributed different parts of the world. Built a 25 engineer hardware design team ground up at Shanghai, China. Changed the BU culture of delivering 1 line card in 2 to 3 years to deliver 3 line cards in 3 years. Involved in co-development of cutting edge RF technologies with Cisco Scientific Atlanta teams in USA and Belgium in a highly collaborative design environment. Developed industry standard DOCSIS 3.0 MAC chip internally to give Cisco an edge over the competition. Significantly improved the Quality and Customer Satisfaction culture within the team. Team delivered 2 new products (uBR7225 & RFGW-10) and 3 line cards (MC20x20, MC8x8 & MC3Gx60) for existing uBR10000 and uBR7200 product lines to achieve more than 70% market share with more than $600M/year revenue target.
