Daily Duties at Beta Led/Ruud Lighting (Prior To Cree Acquiring Us):

Team leader for 2.5 years and Manager for 2.5 years. As the team leader for the administrative services group (with no manager) I ran the entire administrative services team. I created a skills assessment of team, provided skills training, held monthly team meetings, implemented cross training amongst entire team, performed performance counseling. As a manager I continued with growth and development of team members, encouraging Microsoft Office certification. Worked with HR to implement a skill testing program for new applicants - corporate wide. I was responsible for interviewing, hiring and evaluating. I also created and held to departmental budgets. Volunteered to become an internal ISO auditor. Became member of the Sales and Marketing Steering Committee and became the project leader for the annual customer loyalty program for 3 years. managed all corporate sales events, both on site and off. Managed a departmental budget as well as all staffing issues - at a time when we had to cut costs and take unpaid time off.
