Daily Duties at Alcatel Lucent:

Responsible for the identification of new technology/applications trends in the region that will allow ALU to further expand its overall services presence. This too includes the following activities: Responsible for defining the long-term strategy for the ALU professional services/solution portfolio, with a particular focus on assisting the various ALU Services Business Divisions in defining services investment plans based on future market needs. The overall goal was to map out a 3+ year roadmap with each business division based on the needs of the region and insure that we are fully prepared to address the evolving requirements of the market (proactive focus). One key success from my efforts was creation of new ALU Services Operating Environment/Software Oriented Architecture – which provided the foundation for the rapid creation of new OSS/BSS related services, specifically targeted at emerging industry verticals (for example: analytics, cloud and/or M2M).Also, was responsible for the strategic planning and for performing feasibility analysis’ on new business opportunities including joint venture partner and acquisition targets. Leveraged "best practices" and "inter-regional collaborative information sharing" to insure that we are fully capitalizing on the extensive solutions and/or knowledge repository contained across ALU, to better assist us in positioning our offerings and growing our business in the Americas. Driven the data gathering, analysis and dissemination of information on competition/competitive environment -- which will may include the following elements. Work with product and technical marketing to identify the most compelling competitive differentiation for our products. Develop tangible sell-against messaging, positioning and materials for the field in partnership with the business units and corporate marketing, and educate the field on how to use these tools.
