Realized dollar savings other accomplishments. • Created an historical timekeeping database which provided reportable labor costs, while saving $30k annually by reducing one timekeeper, for gross margin decision making. • Eliminated clerical labor personnel through efficiency improvement and job analysis, saving $35k annually. • Developed cost system structure to provide integrated product costing for better prototype tracking. • Exercised influence over the Sales and Engineering planning meetings to ensure profitability potential, as measured against expected costs combined with the required Engineering Department investment. • Developed actual labor reporting to maximize negotiated contracts. • Revised project cost reporting by product to show actual costs in a more utilizable format. • Prepared sales analysis by project and evaluated in staff meetings, highlighting problematic projects. • Estimated impact of ECO changes to determine effect on production costs. • Performed inventory management, cost analysis and fixed asset functions. • Reduced the Physical Inventory cycle time from 4 days to 2 days. • Identified and excluded obsolete and slow moving inventories from net inventory. • Ensured timely, accurate financial reporting and cost consistent with internal policy. • Met the schedule for external audit work papers, exceeding previous year's target. • Revamped the system of accounting for fixed assets. • Prepared the annual budget and develops standard overhead rates. • Maintained the accounting internal control system including desk procedures. • Projected expense ledger, cost of sales and revenue.
