Daily Duties at Ozonia:

Supported the Controller and supervised a staff in guiding and directing all activities of revenue recognition, cost center accounting,project costing functions on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis for a water purifying company with $40 million annual revenue. Supervised, directed, and reviewed the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions,fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.). Cash management (including placement/movement of funds in various trusts). Spearheaded monthly business review meetings with the project managers during actualizations in comparison of Budget vs.Forecast Reporting, Carried out responsibilities in a timely matter and adhered to schedule deadlines while ensuring accurate and timely forecasts, accurate contract evaluation, monthly-end closing activities, quarterly and Y/E closings. Approved percentage of completion schedules, routine and non-routine journal entries, allocations, and adjustments to ensure proper recognition of revenue in support of the month-end. Analyzed actual revenue results compared to budget/trend and provided feedback to finance and business associates on a monthly basis. Resolved complicated accounting issues and assisted other personnel withheld with different responsibility in letting the financial transactions run smoothly. Monitored entries in the general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting. Maintained year-end functioning paperwork, spreadsheets, as well as improved prep for virtually any audits as well as self-sufficient testimonials. Implemented and executed suggestions to optimize accounting operations in order to make it productive. Conducted and generated ad hoc reporting and projects upon request from the Controller, CEO, and upper management.
