Daily Duties at Florida Power Corporation:

Senior Engineer, May 1995- April 1996 • Responsibilities encompassed the direct supervision of 4 operations engineering employees to ensure the efficient and safe operation of a distribution plant that was comprised of 25 substations, 123 feeders, over 2,500 miles of conductor, and 60,000 pieces of equipment serving 150,000 customers Accountable for the management of system parameters, such as over-current protection, over-voltage protection, reliability, coordination and public/employee safety • Successfully developed and implemented short-term and long-term facility maintenance programs that effectively addressed system reliability issues Project Engineer, October 1994 – May 1995 • Performed duties as listed above with the exception of team leadership responsibilities • Completed temporary assignment that involved supervising all engineering functions and activities related to the provision of new service Project Engineer November 1993 – October 1994 • Supervised staff and daily activities within the Drafting and Clerical Departments Operations & Planning Engineer, February 1992 – November 1993 • Conducted a comprehensive annual detailed facility study to address needed improvements and additions to the distribution plant, the plan was utilized as the foundation and driver for the base budget Industrial Engineer September 1990 – February 1992 • Served as key account executive for over 450 industrial customers Engineer II, August 1989- September 1990 • Provided long-term operations planning, prepared major distribution work orders for the construction and rebuild of feeders, and participated in system improvement projects Engineer II, January 1988 – August 1989 • Served as District Engineer with responsibility for preparing major distribution work orders for the construction and rebuild of feeders, assisting with system improvement projects, and providing new service to large residential, commercial and industrial developments Engineer I, January 1986 – January 1988 • Responsible for the layout and design of area underground and overhead distribution systems. Worked directly with customer contacts
