Daily Duties at Palm Gardens Assisted Living And Memory Care:
As the Community Relations Specialist, I am responsible for planning and managing programs that are meant to bring positive perception and publicity towards our building, and improve its profile throughout our local community. In this position I am responsible to fill vacancies in our assisted living and dementia care programs and help all programs increase revenue. I am responsible for performing market research and determining areas where there is likely to be a large elderly population that may need information and education about our services and programs. I then determine with my Executive Director where the best media is for marketing our services. I have successfully explained to community, professionals and potential residents and family members all we have to offer, and have effectively guided our building from a 68% occupancy to a stable 96% occupancy in the first six months of employment. As the Assistant Executive Director, I am responsible for coordinating and managing office functions as well as assisting in the overall operation of the Community in accordance with resident needs, government regulations, and our internal policies and procedures. I work closely with the Executive Director in planning all aspects of community operations including setting priorities and job assignments. I have successfully developed positive relationships with state regulators, community at large, families and residents on behalf of the community.
