Daily Duties at Lowe's:

 Installing Oracle database software and creating of databases.  Creating users, roles and assigning users the appropriate roles and privileges as defined by application requirements.  Creating tables, views, indexes and synonyms per developer needs.  Set up and manage profile for users and ensure database security.  Running RMAN utility to perform hot and cold backups.  Configuring the oracle enterprise manager for monitoring and management of databases.  Utilizing SSH and remote desktop for file transfers and to connect from one server to the other.  Working with Senior DBA’s to implement table partitioning to improve performance and data management.  Database tuning and capacity planning to ensure acceptable level of performance.  Creating and managing tablespaces and database files based on the OFA mode.  Refreshing development/test databases from production using Export/Import.  loading data using SQL*Loader for performance tuning.
