Daily Duties at Northwest Airlines And Republic Airlines :
Managed IT division employees responsible for tracking project activity, data security, disaster recovery, resource costing, and technical project documentation. Represented Northwest’s Flight Operations and Maintenance and Engineering Departments in negotiations with TWA for NWA’s $250 million acquisition of one half of the PARS reservations and other related systems. Coordinated weekly status reports used by senior management to track progress of various systems integration projects required by the merger of NWA and Republic Airlines. Authored major sections and coordinated production of major white paper presented to NWA management recommending retention of Republic’s systems. Short term favorable decision was subsequently reversed by NWA management. Directed activity of 16 professionals coordinating project control, data security, disaster recovery, resource costing, and technical writing. Initiated first disaster recovery plan development for Republic’s data center and telecommunications requirements.
