Daily Duties at Ibm Global Technology Services (Outsourcing Business Unit):
Advise airline and travel industry (car rental companies, railroads, hotels, freight cargo companies) management regarding strategies, processes and methods by which technology could be used to increase revenue, control costs, improve customer satisfaction, and create competitive advantage. Evaluate technology requirements under new business models, potential restructuring, business unit consolidation, and devising solutions consistent with revised marketing, financial and operational strategies. Coordinate activities of a select team of industry subject matter experts in responding to short term sales and marketing opportunities, customer contract performance issues, and strategic initiatives requiring industry technology expertise. Increase IBM's penetration in Travel & Transportation accounts through new and emerging technologies, including e-buisness and legacy applications, sourced from a variety of internal disciplines and third party business partner relationships.
