Daily Duties at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital:
Duties: Serving as Health Systems Assistant in the HealthCare Contract Support Office, performing office administrative/ management duties independently to include staffing, in processing, maintaining and tracking applicable credential/certificates of contracted employees. Utilize Contract Verification System (CVS) data base to initiate employees Computer Access Card (CAC) as well as conduct in and out processing of contracted employees working at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital and its outlined clinics in Fairfax and Dumfries. Act as a liaison between Fort Belvoir Community Hospital gaining clinics and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to provide smooth entry of contracted employee hired. Responsible for reviewing and initiating over 30 request for security background investigations weekly and also, assist Contracted personnel in the completion of the Security Background Investigation process and finger printing, utilize Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP) to initiate employees Background Investigation check, utilize JPAS data-base to verify completion of Background Investigations as well as E-Verify portal data base for employment verification eligibility check for all contracted employees and I maintain all background check reports and records in a secured file and database. Responsible for the management of contracted employee’s accountability report on the hospital intranet personnel list by adding or removing employee personal information to hospital personnel list and share point. Create employees AKO account and facilitate accurate completion of required security document required for securing hospital badge. Utilize functions that enhance administrative, communication, staffing and organizational effectiveness. Provide advice and technical services to managers and contracted employees within the organization on a wide range of personnel management issues. Interprets and apply applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies related to a variety of contracted personnel practices and actions on the full range of administrative and personnel support services and requirements. Independently developed spreadsheet reports to capture accurate fiscal year report pertinent to contracted employees accountability. Ensures contract compliance meet JCAHO standards and hospital policies and procedures such as ensuring employees hired completes full orientation requirements, health screening and have complete updated licensure/ training. Compile variety of narrative correspondence and reports into a spread sheet. Utilize full range of keys such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint, proofing symbols, functions and applications to develop products into final form. Performs all task in accordance with JTF, as well as Military and Hospital policies, regulations and procedures.
