• Organized & analyzed research data and wrote manuscripts while engaging in independent studies - e.g., conferences, workshops on scientific & grant writing, seminars on current topics such as cancer, stem cell biology, neurodehgenerative diseases, proteases, and technologies such as proteomics, mass spectrometry, signaling, immnoassays, FACS, for increased understanding and expertise. • Investigated a transmembrane protein receptor, which mediates signals of the extracellular matrix (ECM) into intracellular messages resulting in gene expression in normal & malignant breast epithelial cells. Also investigated the role of proteases in modifying the receptor protein and identifying new receptor interactions (2D & 3D cell cultures, DNA constructs, characterization of cell lines, Western blots, immunofluorescence (IF), IHC, microscopy, etc.) in collaboration. • Taught a university level chemistry laboratory course as a postdoctoral instructor and provided educational services & leadership to a broad range of students. • Administered a research journal, which included electronic submission of manuscripts and communicating & orienting editors, reviewers, and authors. Managed & coordinated producing reports and presentation slides for board meetings. Generated ideas & implemented new processes to improve the review process and the quality of the journal.
