Daily Duties at Metal Technologies Auburn Llc:

"Main Goal" - as stated to me by the VP of HR was to Maintain a Union Free Environment. Participated in the development and implementation of a structured interview process of over 1000 hourly applicants to ultimately net approximately 125 hourly employees. Subsequent tasks performed were all supplemental due diligence: such as drug testing-background checks and one on one interviews to assess best placement job in facility. Established a functional HR Office and staff ensuring appropriate Employment Law record keeping and handling all forms of employee relations such as conflict resolution, attendance oversight, on boarding systems, terminations, training agendas, and positive employee morale initiatives. Serve as a consultant to the VP of Human Resources and partnered with senior leaders to develop and implement people strategies that achieve business and organizational objectives. Teamed with VP of HR to provide support to management, and employees with an emphasis on talent acquisition and retention, performance management, on-boarding, diversity and inclusion, mentoring, college relationships, change management, leadership development, training and process/team consultation and facilitation. Delivered and managed HR initiatives such as performance management, pay and bonus planning, equity planning, talent management, organizational development programs and communications. Administered HR policies and practices; implemented approved pay or job changes, conducted exit interviews. Served as the point of escalation or first point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR related issues, such as pay, benefits, professional development, and job classification. Coached managers on employment issues.Oversaw and mediated employee relations issues.Partnered with HR colleagues to update processes, policies, and practices. Managed the job performance and professional development of subordinate staff. Assisted in developing position descriptions and career progression plans. Monitored the culture of the Company and promoted activities to support the Company’s culture and values. Conducted periodic benchmark surveys and participates in industry-specific compensation surveys to assess and maintain compensation competitiveness. Teamed with managerial peers to establish employee recognition programs. Recommended additional practices to ensure industry leadership in employee development.Reviewed and updated Employee Handbook and other documents as needed. Ensured compliance with federal and state laws. Oversaw communication and adherence to policies and processes related to equal employment opportunities, compensation, and employee benefits.
