Daily Duties at Spx Contech:

Meet and exceed company goals for profit margins - productivity - morale - manage the flow of material through the facility preventing product loss and timely delivery. Provide total cell / group leadership in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production and compliance. Responsible for meeting all established safety, cost, quality, and delivery commitments.Interface with other organizations and vendors to assure requirements are met on time. Structure assigned organization and staff positions with personnel to accomplish business objectives.Provide ongoing supervision and counseling for employees, guiding them in current positions and assisting with career development and training. Motivate employee cells / group to achieving goals in asset utilization, process / manufacturing loss improvement, delivered quality and cost reduction. Coordinate manufacturing schedules and priorities within the production plan to satisfy customer requirements. Control in-process inventory to achieve production requirements at minimum inventory investment.Managed planned hours and capacity to protect profit position. Participated in strategic planning and profit planning for the site.Coordinated Maintenance Repairs and Preventative Maintenance schedules on equipment. Work accountability metrics implemented. Participated in plant safety initiatives and programs (including behavioral based safety program).
