• Supported the establishment of policies and procedures for gathering, analysis and use of 3rd Party Data and competitive intelligence • Responsibilities included: o Underwriting and product research o Market, territorial & geographical analysis o 3rd party data usage in support of underwriting strategy execution o Underwriting quality o Competitive intelligence • Organized and implemented data testing standards • Researched and analyzed market information on competitors, including: financial statistics, product offering, coverage forms, underwriting strategy and market share • Performed quality control reviews on business reviewed as a result of triggers set in automated direct customer sales systems • Identified data and data service opportunities from present and future vendors • Researched the marketplace to identify all vendors capable of delivering data elements to improve the efficiency of direct customer sales systems • Identified market opportunities and entry strategies for the continental United States • Identified product opportunities in present and future markets • Developed templates for competitor product comparisons • Established and maintained a Lotus Notes database to house competitor information
