Daily Duties at Winstar Communications, Inc.:
Managed 35 technical staff to operate and maintain Winstar’s Sun/Unix business support systems, associated data centers, and the corporate MS NT local area network (LAN) servers. Team responsibilities included system, hardware, and Oracle database operations, administration, maintenance, help desk support, configuration management (CM), asset tracking, quality assurance, and implementation planning for new hardware, software, and databases updates, as well as establishing and maintaining service level agreements (SLA), method and procedures (M&P), and standards documentation.
