Daily Duties at Armstrong Wood Products:
• Source and develop the international supply chain for a multi-million dollar manufacturer including reviewing and negotiating multi-million dollar contracts, current annual budgeted spend $138m • Forecast and plan purchases and interpret MRP output for international supply chain, equates 2,000+ SKUs • Manage primary supplier relationship developing partnerships to continuously better processes, procedures and products for bulk of supply chain • In 2010 exceeded last inventory reduction goal of $1.2m by attaining $1.95m for items sourced • Assured and exceeded budgetary fill rate of 98% thru year end 2010 • Thru 2010 exceeded cost reduction goals in a very difficult market by 7.5% thru year-end total goal $1.272m • Owned and executed MRP function during ERP conversion for use, training and function within Supply Chain • Implemented 3PL solution for an international sourcing supply chain issue in 2010 – value $8m • Eliminated all offsite inventory locations thusly eliminating $6m in liability • Developed and execute report out of key indicators to senior management on a daily, weekly monthly basis • Created all existing standard operating business practices for procurement at unit level • Developed, implemented & controlled several large scale projects simultaneously • Supervised and maintained mid-level buyers to facilitate supply chain • Aided and assisted manufacturing divisions in inventory practices with audit functions
