Daily Duties at Wallace Eannace Associates Inc.:
I was responsible to service existing accounts(contractors) by providing timely quotes based on engineer's plans and specifications for public and private projects. I also was responsible to persue the contractors that were awared jobs and secure an order. After closing the order, I would need to help my assistant generate submittals for the engineer to review. After the submittals are returned I would need to review all the comments, concerns, or resubmit any rejected items for final approval. After final approval I would need to review the project manager's schedule and make sure that everything is ordered in accordance to the project manager's time frame. Before order is released I would have to make sure there are no outstanding balances on the account and make the phone calls or visits necessary to collect past due balances. When the equipment arrives I would need to address any proplems with equipment is received damaged or was found to be defective at time of start up. I was also responsible to follow up on all bids that went out and write up follow up reports. I prospected for new accounts and visited existing accounts to maintain good customer relations. I participated in trade shows and charity golf outings. I would also take some of my better accounts out to lunch.
What they like about Wallace Eannace Associates Inc.:
A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
