Daily Duties at Wackenhut Services Incorporated:

As a SPO I controlled access to the facility and other sensitive areas located within the facility. I screen visitors for contraband and other unauthorized/hazardous items. I conducted vehicle searches as part of our random anti-terrorism measures, ensuring hazardous items are not allowed to enter the facility. I monitor closed circuit television systems, looking for suspicious activity. I greet and process visitors into the facility; ensuring they are properly screened and documented in our visitor log. I respond to all emergencies, as dispatched by the Security Operations Center. I conduct interior and exterior patrol tours based on established patrol zones; reporting and investigating unauthorized activity. I assist complainants prepare written reports of lost, stolen or damaged property and prepare my written statement as a part of the incident report package. I assist in the training of new officers and provide roll call briefings on various subjects, as assigned by the shift supervisor.
