Daily Duties at Archdiocese Of Chicago:
Provide legal counsel to internal departments and agencies, parishes, schools and external affiliates of one of the nation’s largest Catholic dioceses. Draft, review and negotiate broad variety of commercial contracts, including construction contracts, sales and vendor contracts, license agreements, consulting agreements. Litigate tort, real estate, employment and contract cases, including appearing in civil and administrative courts. Supervise, manage and provide strategic direction to outside counsel regarding ongoing tort, insurance, construction and contract litigation. Work closely with risk manager to anticipate and actively manage legal risks to reduce organizational exposure.
