Daily Duties at Sub Zero:
Interfaced with Planning, Quality, Accounting, Production, Engineering, & Shipping/Receiving in order to resolve any supply, quality, accounting or logistic problems associated with items purchased. Participated in launch of new products by ensuring all required components are available one week prior to each build. Sourced & purchased equipment, tooling, raw material, parts, services, chemical, gases & supplies for MRO, Maintenance & Production. Worked actively to identify, engage & manage relationships with suppliers capable of meeting company requirements relative to cost, delivery, service & quality. Developed alternate sources as necessary, ensuring continuity of supply, quality & competitive pricing. Recommended actions for continuous improvement by analyzing & interpreting various data streams. Performed data analysis to look for performance trends & process improvement opportunities. Implemented various metrics to meet inventory, item cost, payment terms & delivery & quality goals. Monitored out-of-stock performance, backorders, expedited deliveries & provided ETA updates. Designed & developed procedures & trained internal staff on purchasing processes, receiving of stock & non-stock parts, usage of P-cards, writing requisitions & MSDS material.
