Daily Duties at International Paper Co.:
•Managed all maintenance activities throughout the 300,000 square foot facility, with an annual maintenance and repair budget of $2,400,000 and a storeroom inventory valued at over $800,000. •Directed and facilitated plant maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, purchasing of new machinery, design modifications, rebuilds, upgrades, machine installations, and capital equipment expenditures. •Trained personnel in the art of maintenance, implemented a continual training program, and evaluated all technicians to maintain a high level of competency in all areas (multi-crafted) of equipment maintenance and repair. •Vigorously planned, scheduled and facilitated the upkeep of 5 Komari presses, 6 flame sealers, and all building and support equipment. •Coordinated the converting and sealing departments to incorporate predictive and preventive programs to reduce costly corrective repairs. The end result was a substantial increase of performance by 10%, a decrease of downtime by 5% and a decrease of waste by 1%.
