Daily Duties at Kyocera Industrial Ceramics:
Directed the daily HR operations for 198 employees in North Carolina, Ohio and home based sales force and indirectly provided HR support to 500 employees within this Division of Kyocera. Served on corporate benefits and compensation committees that provided recommendations for a full range of total compensation offerings and administered the company’s benefits plans. Managed departmental budget, supervised, coached, developed Payroll Coordinator. Provided partnership, consultation and review of all recruitments, promotions, demotions, performance evaluations, terminations, RIF’s. Developed and implemented recruitment and new hire orientation strategies. 5S Committee member to increase productivity/reduce costs. Coordinated training programs with Management to comply with SSQA quality standards imposed by customers. Co-Chaired Safety Committee to increase safety awareness through training and documented programs. Conducted investigations based on complaints and policy violations. Managed the expatriate function including family members) from appointment to repatriation from Japan to facilities in North Carolina and Ohio.
