Daily Duties at Ascom Timeplex:

Provided multifaceted technical support for Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Engineering and on-site Field Service organizations. • Played lead technical role in the sale and implementation of 500 site network to major bank. Engineered complex network design and wrote all router & switch configurations for optimal performance, while providing onsite project management and network configuration documentation, while isolating multiple protocol violations on new releases, resulting in a stabilized customer. Recognized with Excellence Award for performance and dedication. • Successfully resolved network outage of all 125 sites by troubleshooting complex system issues bringing the network online within three hours, then redesigning the network configurations for optimal performance and documenting all configurations. • Provided consulting services worldwide. Led training in Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and Great Britain on packet technologies. Created documentation, and trained customers on how to design, implement, troubleshoot and maintain networks. • Acted as Marketing Product Line Manager promoting Internetworking Products in sales techniques and product development. Managed development of product features, analyzed cost and return on investment for feature upgrades. Developed sales presentations as well. • Provided Tier 3 level customer service support to aid in resolution of escalated trouble tickets. • Received Award for Outstanding Technical Support for a major health care provider, a major account and a crucial customer for both Sales and Services Sales. • Controlled and implemented quality assurance tests for live customer product evaluation of our Packet and Router products. • Implemented sales training material and classes for new hire sales engineers, field services technicians, and external customers, resulting in trained customers able to maintain their own networks. • Conducted research and analysis to generate technical responses for RFPs. • Provided extensive trouble shooting and protocol analysis in the following: 1. Router/LAN Protocols: TCP/IP, IPX, RIP, OSPF, PPP, Ethernet, LLC2, DLSw 2. Legacy Serial Protocols: Frame Relay, ATM, SDLC, X.25/X.3/X.28/X.29, Burroughs Poll Select, BSC 3270, Polled Asynchronous, HDLC, ISDN, VoFR, QLLC • Awarded Sales & System Support “Systems Engineer of the Quarter.”
