Hired to direct and manage research activities and quality testing efforts in the separator materials laboratory under the Power Technology Division at NASA LeRC.  Held US Government security clearance  Launched the planning, experimental design, and testing of the separator materials lab  Directed the safety, compliance, and QC procedures programs  Developed standard operational procedures for the safe handling and evaluation of components (polymers and metals) used in secondary power systems  Evaluated new materials through the establishment of limits and criteria to ensure material's consistency and quality under their QMS  Worked in the implementation of the NYMA ISO 9000 certification efforts under their QMS program  Implemented OSHA and US EPA laboratory safety standards, including hazard communications, labeling, hazardous waste, chemical disposal, and PPE
