Daily Duties at Dte Energy (Bartech):

Leads an engineering team consisting of engineers, engineering firms, scheduler, technical & administrative personnel. Primary liaison and interface to address issues and to specify /resolve engineering design problems which include civil, structural, environmental, air & water, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Manages the design development of a construction, renovation, alteration or maintenance project from the conceptual phase, prior to detailed design approval (receiving budget and approval), through the completion of installation, testing and commissioning into service, which includes scope, budget, quality and schedule controls. Ensures all project requirements and objectives are properly documented in the Executive Summary / Work Scope document and are vigorously pursued via regular reporting, forecasting, final testing, reviews and audits within Project Management, thus implementing improvements in a timely manner. Manages engineering costs and project scope change control of engineering activities throughout the life cycle of a project. Ability to develop and coordinate cross functional teams, for current projects, yielding optimal outcomes. Copes with multiple demands from superiors and peers in a positive fashion and calm demeanor whilst under pressure.
