Daily Duties at Icelandair:
Administer strategic planning and execution of financial analysis and accounting in support of North American operations, spanning U.S., Canada, and South America. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue forecasts. Control $100M operating budget and preside over organization-wide payroll and expense accounting. Direct human resource operations, including prospecting, recruiting, and interviewing job candidates, in addition to overseeing company insurance and pension plans, employee guidelines, and staff travel. Establish and maintain successful fiscal policies, procedures, controls, cost accounting, desktop GL, Reconcilation of GL Accounts, collections and deposits, and reporting systems. Serve as HR advisor to senior management, including General Manager, to support achievement of corporate goals. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP) to mitigate inherent control risks and maintain progress toward organization’s long-term economic and performance objectives.
