Daily Duties at Mechdyne Corporation:
Responsible for direct sales of virtual reality, high resolution visualization, and command & control visualization systems into the academic, commercial, and government sectors. Sold to and supported customers across North America. Key Accomplishments: ● Established Relationship with US Senators Charles Grassley and Tom Harkin and US Congressman Tom Latham providing for a 5-year period where these Congressman were successful in supporting Defense Appropriations in excess of $30 million. ● Maintained relationships with over 40 client opportunities at any one time allowing for development and maintenance of a quality pipeline and exceeding quota consistently. ● $6M in sales to Iowa State University. Sold Iowa State University multiple systems over a 4-year period, including a fully immersive 6-sided CAVE facility; a 96 node visualization cluster; a Virtual Reality visualization solution for their 300 seat auditorium; and a reconfigurable 4-sided Flex visualization system. ● $4.5M in sales to Sandia National Laboratory (SNL). Sold multiple visualization solutions to SNL for viewing circuit boards, microscope visualization data, satellite imagery, and business documents. ● Provided over 10 solutions throughout the Penn State University campus, the US Navy, and other Government Defense Contractors. Relationship resulted in nearly $8 million in total revenue over a 5-year period. ● Successfully networked through existing client base for referrals to build sales pipeline. ● Took on a leadership role inside the Sales Department, providing training and lessons learned to new team members that allowed them to experience success. ● Led a team to respond to RFPs. Oversaw all of the information and brought it all together to create a final response, and deliver the presentation to the customers. ● Led a team in creating a 40-question evaluation system to capture the morale status for individual, management, intra-department, and corporate environment. Results of survey allowed company to modify several areas of concern to make for a better working environment. ● Worked with several technology providers to reach out to their customer base allowing for penetration into companies and markets that were new for our company.
