Daily Duties at Kbr:

Kellogg Brown & Root, Inc. – Mobile, Alabama 1991 to 2005 SENIOR PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST Negotiated with approved suppliers, placing purchase orders in response to product / project requirements. Supervised, mentored, trained, and motivated Purchasing Specialists in procuring goods, services, and raw materials. Pre-qualified supplier candidates, prepared and issued RFP packages, facilitated pre-bid and pre-award meetings, solicited / evaluated proposals, and negotiated contracts. Developed strategic alliance agreements for high-frequency commodities.  Esso Chad Project: Created bid lists, issued RFP packages, conducted pre-bid and pre-award meetings, and held final bid clarification meetings to negotiate savings / improve purchase terms. − Globally sourced materials from seven countries. − Negotiated more than $350,000 in total cost savings for major ExxonMobil Project.  Phenolchemie – Grassroots Project: Created bid lists, issued RFP packages, conducted pre-bid and pre-award meetings, and held final bid clarification meetings. − Sourced materials internationally, realizing $225,000 in cost savings.  Jefferson Smurfit: Supervised procurement of all engineered equipment for No. 2 Paper Machine Upgrade. As Project Expeditor, ensured timely delivery of equipment deliveries to jobsite prior to scheduled shutdown.  Sun Projects: Served as Project Buyer for key company initiatives including… − Sun Middle Creek Abatement Project – TIC $100 million − Sun Tank Water Draw-Off Project – TIC $7 million − Sun BeNeshap Projects in Marcus Hook – TIC $16 million, Philadelphia – TIC $16 million, and Toledo – TI $15 million.  Universal Oil Products: Oversaw procurement of process and construction equipment / materials for New Spherical Catalyst Plant. Solicited proposals, performed commercial evaluations, and established purchase agreements for all bulk materials.
