Daily Duties at Jacobs Engineering:

November 2005 - June 2009 Supervised 15-member purchasing team encompassing Procurement, Expediting, Material Control and Inspection / Quality Control for diverse projects, with full accountability for procurement planning and strategy. Develop and execute Project Procurement / Sub-contact Plans; execution of Quality/Inspection plans, administer material procedures and conduct supply chain meetings. Assess and pre-qualify supplier candidates, including preparation of bidder lists and issuance of RFP packages. Experienced in optimizing costs while ensuring seamless compliance with stringent regulatory standards. Extensive project procurement background spanning RFP development, supplier prequalification, supply chain / logistics, quality control / inspection oversight and motivational team leadership. Industry experience includes oil/gas, chemical, pulp & paper, capital equipment machinery, abatements, commercial expansions. Daily Tasks: *Reviewed all new Request for Proposals and issue for purchase packages for processing, assigned to responsible commodity buyer or administrative assistant. Personally held responsibility for evaluation, award and follow up of all complex mechanical, instrumentation (CEMS) and electrical (Power House) packages. *Responded and follow up on email and forward for handling *Attended weekly project meetings, Project Coordination Mtg * Help weekly Procurement Status meeting * Scheduled and attended all Supplier Coordination Meetings from kick off through the expediting and delivery cycle *Solve and handle internal and external issues/problems regarding procedures and issues with suppliers.
