Daily Duties at Harbison Walker:

Implemented systems to reduce materials inventory and improved avialability and cost. Projected raw materials requirements for over 400 raw materials and ordered in a timely fashion to maintain adequate supply. Established stock levels for each raw material and adjusted as business levels changed. Negotiated with suppliers to improve delivery and dependability of supply and best pricing for volume of use. Resolved any quality issues with suppliers and verified that all materials met the proper specifications. Cycle counted materials to ensure accurate inventory at all times. Reduced any excess inventory levels by working with other producing plants and corporate purchasing. Eliminated any obsolete materials from stock in a timely manner. Maintained all MSDS information so that it was current and excessible to all employees. Tabulated all material usage and stocking levels for Federal and State reporting requirements. Developed systems to improve material inventory turns and reduce inventory on hand while reducing or eliminating material outages. Assisted other production facilities overcome materials shortages as required.
