Daily Duties at Harris Moran Seed Company:

Oversaw financial and accounting activities. Turned company from P&L and cash losing, to positive on both counts in two years. Managed development of all standard costs for inventory (over 10,000 SKUs). Directed Information Technology (IT) function, including network systems and applications management. Mentored Human Resources (HR) function. Provided strong support to President/COO. Managed outside audit. Approved all contracts.  Led cultural, business process and operational changes to take company from loss of over $10,000,000 in FY (fiscal year) 2004, to profits of $3,000,000 in FY 2009.  Implemented changes to turn cash flow from operations, from negative to highly positive in five years, and reduced bank debt by $7,000,000.  Directed cross-functional team in revision of standard costs of over 20,000 SKUs in FY 2005.  Worked closely with parent company and bank syndication—restructuring bank covenants in FY 2005, to enable workout of financial problems and return to profitability.  Refinanced credit lines (in FY 2006) to allow for continued growth of North and South American subsidiaries, particularly Mexico, by funding working capital through American parent.  Reduced monthly financial reporting from weeks, down to five business days.
